BiographyNichole Kentner has had the opportunity to work at some of the most beautiful golf courses on the east coast and in Germany. She attended college and played golf for four years at Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC. with a NCAA Championship in 2001 under her belt. Nichole started out her career instructing with Peggy Kirk Bell at Pine Needles Resort in North Carolina, and also had the opportunity to work during the 2001 U.S. Women’s Open. Being a 1st Assistant at River Run C.C. in Charlotte, North Carolina, Nichole's first priority was to build the Junior Program and the Ladies Program. Then, she made the big move over the pond to Heidelberg, Germany to fulfill the role as Assistant Manager for the U.S. Army Europe HQ Golf Course. She felt fortunate to be able to work with not only an American membership but a German membership as well. Nichole started the Play Golf America Program in Heidelberg and was able to instruct lessons in German. The last two seasons Nichole has been a Golf Instructor and a Head Golf Professional at Basin Harbor Club, a 4th generation family owned resort on Lake Champlain in Vermont. Nichole has moved back to her roots to start her own business in promoting the game of golf and she is very excited about it. GoalsNichole's goal as a PGA Golf Professional is to promote the game of golf while making it a fun learning experience for any level of golfer. She thinks it is important to give the student enough motivation and understanding of their golf swing and game so they always leave the lesson with positive expectations. Nichole will help the student understand the importance of keeping the mind and body at ease during the golf swing. Also, she will explain the analysis of their swing on the student’s level of understanding and convey it in their learning style whether it is by pictures, analogies, or other means of communication. Most importantly, Nichole will always be available for her students or anyone else who is interested in the game of golf. |
